Terms of use
Version of 27 August 2026
What this covers
These terms govern the use of bayit.care and the services of Sole trader, osek patur status (VAT-exempt under Israeli law) ("we"). By using the site and sending a request you accept them.
What we do
- Match candidates to a family's requirements for the care of an elderly person
- Verify the candidate's documents, work-permit status and references from previous employers
- Arrange introductions, including video introductions for families abroad
- Handle the paperwork: employment contract, registration with a licensed private agency, long-term care benefit filings
- Run payroll and track the worker's statutory entitlements for the duration of the service
What we do not do
- We are not the caregiver's employer. The employer is the family or the person receiving care
- We do not provide medical services or medical advice
- We do not guarantee approval of a long-term care benefit or an employment permit: those decisions belong to Bituach Leumi and the Population and Immigration Authority
- We take no payment from workers — not for listing a profile, not for placement, at no stage
Profiles in the catalogue
Profiles are published with the worker's written consent. The information in a profile is supplied by the candidate; we verify documents, permit status and references, but cannot vouch for every statement about personal experience. Candidates' contact details are not published and are shared only after a consultation and your choice of a specific person.
Copying profiles, photographs or site text, including by automated means, is prohibited.
Fees and payment
Our fee is stated before any contract is signed and is set out in it. Prices on the site, including calculator results, are indicative and do not constitute a binding offer. Statutory payments to third parties — the licensed agency's fee, government charges, the worker's insurance — are paid separately and are not included in our fee.
Replacement
If the matched worker is not a fit, we arrange a replacement free of charge within the first three months from the start date. This applies where the family has complied with the employment contract and does not cover cases where the worker resigned because of breaches by the employer.
The family's obligations as employer
- Comply with Israeli employment law: minimum wage, weekly rest, annual leave, sick pay, contributions and severance
- Provide a live-in worker with their own sleeping space and meals
- Not require duties outside the contract
- Register with a licensed private agency when employing a foreign worker
Limitation of liability
We are responsible for the quality of the matching and support, up to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for the worker's conduct after placement, for decisions of public authorities, or for circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Israel. Disputes are heard by the courts of Ramat Gan.
