Bayit CARE

Privacy policy

Version of 27 August 2026

This is a draft. It is a working starting point and does not replace legal advice. Before you run ads, have an Israeli lawyer review it and replace every placeholder in square brackets with real company details.

This policy explains what personal data bayit.care collects, why we need it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. If anything is unclear, write to hello@bayit.care.

Who processes the data

The controller is Sole trader, osek patur status (VAT-exempt under Israeli law), registered at 18 Chaim Pinsker St, Rehovot, Israel. Privacy contact: hello@bayit.care.

What we collect

What you tell us

  • Name, phone, email and preferred contact channel
  • Your country, city and time zone — so we call at a sensible hour
  • The city where the person needing care lives and the format of care required
  • Information about that person's health, if you choose to provide it
  • Budget and free-text comments, if you fill them in

What is collected automatically

  • IP address, browser and device type, interface language
  • Pages viewed and the referring source, including utm, gclid and fbclid parameters
  • Cookies — see the cookie policy

Health data, separately

Information about the condition of the person needing care (for example dementia, the effects of a stroke, or help needed with mobility) is a special category of personal data. We ask for it only to match a caregiver with relevant experience. Providing it is optional: you can skip that step of the form and we will still accept the request.

We process it on the basis of your separate, explicit consent, given by ticking the box in the form. You may withdraw that consent at any time by writing to us. We do not share it with anyone other than the candidates you have chosen to meet, and only to the extent needed for the work.

Where the data concerns another person — your parent or relative — you confirm that you are entitled to give it to us. At their request we will tell them everything we hold about them and delete it.

Why we process it

  • To contact you and discuss the request — basis: your consent and steps preparatory to a contract
  • To shortlist candidates and arrange introductions — basis: performance of a contract
  • To prepare employment paperwork, agency registration and Bituach Leumi filings — basis: performance of a contract and legal obligation
  • To improve the site and see which pages help — basis: your consent to analytics cookies
  • To show advertising — only with your consent to advertising cookies

Who we share it with

We work as a referral service: we do not place staff ourselves. We pass your request to partner agencies that hold the required licence, and from that point you deal with the agency directly and sign the contract with them.

Partner agencies at present: the list of partner agencies is published here as agreements are signed; until then requests are not passed on to anyone.

  • The partner agency — your name, contact channel, city, the type of care needed and whatever you wrote in the request
  • Candidates you have chosen to meet — name, city, format of care and whatever you agreed we may pass on
  • The licensed private agency and public authorities — to the extent required to employ the worker
  • Service providers: hosting, notification delivery, analytics. They act on our instructions and may not use the data for their own purposes

We do not sell personal data and do not pass it on for anyone else's advertising.

Where the data is held

Servers are located in Vercel Inc., United States: files are served from the nearest node of its global network, and from a European node for visitors in the EU. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, transfers to Israel rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision. Transfers to other jurisdictions rely on standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

  • Requests that did not proceed — 12 months from the last contact
  • Data relating to current and completed contracts — for as long as Israeli tax and employment law requires
  • Health data — until matching is complete, and no longer than 12 months, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
  • Analytics data — in aggregated form, for the retention period set in the analytics service

Your rights

  • Find out what data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have data deleted where no legal obligation requires us to keep it
  • Withdraw consent — to processing generally, to health data, or to cookies separately
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Complain to a supervisory authority — in Israel the Privacy Protection Authority; in the EU or UK, your national authority

To exercise any of these, write to hello@bayit.care. We respond within 30 days.

Security

The connection is protected by HTTPS. Documents and files are held in private storage reachable only through short-lived signed links. Staff access to personal data is limited to what the job requires and is logged.

Children

The site is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will say so on the site before the change takes effect. The current version date is at the top of the page.
