About the benefit after a hospital stay
After a stroke or a fracture the dependency level often rises, and so does the benefit. Many families do not realise and keep receiving the old amount. We help file for a review. Separately: if your parent is admitted and the caregiver stays beyond the normal working day, those hours carry a premium — we calculate it for you.
Questions
When should we start looking?
As soon as a rough discharge date is known. Seven to ten days ahead is ideal: enough time to show profiles, hold an introduction and do the paperwork without rushing.
Can the caregiver do dressings?
No. Medical procedures are for a nurse, usually arranged through the health fund. The caregiver handles daily life, hygiene, transfers and routine.
