Honestly, about moving
A caregiver will not stop the illness. But with dementia, care at home in familiar surroundings is almost always better than a move: a change of environment accelerates disorientation. If home ever becomes unsafe, we will say so plainly and help you look at the options.

How do you check the experience is real?
We ask about specific situations at interview: what they did when the person did not recognise them, refused to wash, or wanted to 'go home' in the evening. And we check references from families with the same diagnosis.
My parent refuses to have a stranger in the house. What then?
That is a normal reaction. A soft start helps: a few hours a day at first, framed as help around the house, then more. We plan the introduction with you in advance.
