Bayit CARE

How it works

From request to first working day is usually about a week. Here is what happens at each step and what you get.

1

The request

Three minutes: city, format of care, your parent's condition, your phone number and a good time to call. If you are abroad, add your city and we will call in your working day.

2

The call

Fifteen minutes with a manager in English, Russian or Hebrew. We discuss the condition, the format, the budget and whether there is a Bituach Leumi benefit.

3

The shortlist

Within 48 hours we send three to five profiles: experience, languages, licence zone, visa status, salary expectations and a video introduction. If a candidate has a restriction, you hear about it before the introduction, not after.

4

The introduction

A video call or a meeting at home. For families abroad we set up a three-way call and translate if needed.

5

Paperwork and start

Bilingual contract, agency registration, permit filing. A week after the start date we call to see how it is going.

What we verify for every caregiver

  • Passport and a B/1 visa or another valid status
  • Caregiving work permit and licence zone
  • Police clearance certificate
  • Health insurance — we help arrange or renew it
  • Two previous employers as referees — we call them ourselves
  • Experience with specific conditions: dementia, bedridden care, post-operative care

We pass on everything the previous employers told us, including the awkward parts. We do not list anyone whose status we could not confirm: a worker without a permit is a fine waiting to happen for the family.

What happens once the caregiver has started

A contract before day one

Hours, rest days, leave, what the job includes and what it does not — in writing, before the first day.

Payroll every month

A payslip that accounts for rest days, holidays and hospital stays. Bituach Leumi, pension, severance and holiday pay calculated and flagged.

An employer's calendar

Reminders for visa and permit renewals, planned leave, and the dates when you will need cover.

Support that answers

If the terms are being broken or something changes at home, we sort it out rather than telling you to read the contract.

Start with a conversation

Fifteen minutes to understand the situation and say what can realistically be done. No commitment.
